Del Mar Kiwanis typically sponsors two main events per year to raise money for charitable purposes within the North County San Diego area.

The Original Ugly Dog Contest™ - 2011 marks the 16th consecutive year that the Del Mar Kiwanis club created and sponsored the Ugly Dog Contest. Held at the Del Mar Fairgrounds every year in March, the Ugly Dog Contest is a unique, family-friendly fun-filled Sunday afternoon.
